A word on our Discord

Bloom has had a rough couple of years money-wise and maintaining a community Discord 24/7 is outside the scope for our team. However we know how fun it is to chat about a new game and we want to offer something to fans. Check the schedule below to see when our Discord will be open and use the QR code to access the invite.

Happy Pride

It wasn’t planned that we’d launch LongStory 2 a couple of days ahead of Toronto’s Pride Weekend or during Pride month. We are (at the most generous estimate) one month late of our planned launch, and looking back at our roadmaps the game was meant to release in February 2025. We are very off-schedule.

However, as mentioned above we have had a difficult year, and part of that has to be related to the general sadness and anger we feel when we look at the state of things in terms of human rights, global peace, and safety.

When LongStory first launched we wanted to make a game that helped young people feel loved, loveable, welcome and happy to be who they are in the world. The goal is the same with LongStory 2. In fact, it feels perhaps more necessary and important today, over 10 years since the original game launched.

I remain hopeful that one day, games like LongStory will be a fun artifact. Imagine a world where we don’t need to help LGBTQ+ youth understand that their lives have value. A world where queer folk feel safe and have a community that isn’t bought at the cost of hiding who they are.

Right now, it might feel like this vision is far-fetched, but I still believe we can get there one person, one friendship, one cozy game at a time.
